It’s my birthday today! Still 29 – hah! I’ve seen similar forms of the following question on various blogs and would love a few thoughts as my birthday gift from YOU, my dear readers!
If you are 39 or older, what would be different if you could return back to this age? If you were having a conversation with a 39-year-old you, what sort of things would you mention?
Feel free to answer in the comments or send me an email!
And, since I realize there are many readers who would love to answer this question but the number 39 hasn’t become part of your vocabulary yet (when referencing yourself, that is), then this question is for YOU:
What do you hope to be doing when you turn 39?
I’ll be spending the day with my sweet little family, eating breakfast out at our favorite local restaurant, spending the afternoon with my hubby while the kids nap (pleeeease) and eating some angel food cake, hopefully! The rain has cleared (for now) and there’s a few shops on Main Street calling my name for a visit all by myself. It’s gonna be a great day!
Also, I’m doing some changes to my blog, so pardon the “mess” for now. Kind of like if you were visiting my home about now!

Happy Birthday! Since you are not on FB anymore I don’t know if you heard the news that Sara will have a c-section on Monday, Phil’s birthday! Claire is breech.
I was glad to get out of my 30′s! Forties are fabulous! Keep exercising regularly, and enjoy every minute with those little ones. In 10 years they will be teenagers, and not be home much!
love you! Have a fantastic day.
Oh I can’t wait to hear how it went – I pray Claire’s delivery went well, that Sara is doing alright & I am sure there is MUCH rejoicing over the whole experience! Blessings to all of you
What do I hope to be doing when I’m 39? Husband and I were just talking about The Future. We want to be living in Petaluma. I’ll have sold a book or a few and made enough money to keep writing and not have to “work.” Husband, whatever his job is, will be able to take frequent days off for taking photos in beautiful places. And we’ll have plenty of time to spend with our child(ren).
Petaluma is one of my fave places in Cali. Good choice! Hubbs and I need to spend more time doing stuff like that rather than mulling over the here & now. It’s good for the soul & for the relationship!
