If you travel by plane much, then you’re fully aware of the ever-so-stringent rules of the TSA regarding anything in liquid form being brought onto an aircraft.

It had been a few months since my last time on a plane and I completely spaced the 3-1-1 rule.

As ridiculous as I think the rule is, I follow it. I cram as many 3 oz. items as I can into a plastic bag.

Only this time around, I didn’t. I had all of this in my backpack as I tried to get through security: IMG_2480

It went through security just fine. No one stopped me. I was completely unaware that I had even broken the “rule”. Not one thing was even in a plastic bag!

When I went through security on the return flight, they asked to search the backpack.

Sure! Whoops…that’s when I realized my fateful mistake.

As I was mentally starting to say goodbye to the Mary Kay items that were still quite full, the TSA agent looks at me & says, “We have to take this because it’s over the size limit.” And that was it. Everything else could stay.

He confiscated a tube of toothpaste.

I was allowed to take EVERYTHING ELSE on the plane with me.

RULES???? What RULES????
